Our Incident Management Team provides leadership, coordination, and command support during SAR & Type 5 incidentsOperating under the FEMA Incident Command System (ICS), the IMT ensures effective planning, communications, and resource management, enabling multi-agency operations to run safely and efficiently. Whether managing a multi-day search, a disaster deployment, or a community event, the IMT brings organization and structure when it’s needed most.
Wilderness Search, Rescue, & Recovery
Rescue 101 SAR’s Ground Search & Rescue Teams specialize in locating lost or injured individuals in rugged and remote terrain.
Using advanced land navigation, grid search techniques, and lost-person behavior analysis, our teams operate in all weather conditions — day or night. When lives depend on finding the missing, our trained volunteers bring skill, endurance, and compassion to every mission.
Urban Search and Rescue
Our Light Urban Search and Rescue Team responds to structural collapse, severe weather, and disaster incidents where victims may be trapped or in inaccessible environments.
Trained in building assessment, breaching and shoring, confined space operations, and victim extrication, these teams provide life-saving support until heavy USAR resources can arrive.
Disaster Response & Recovery
When disaster strikes, Rescue 101 SAR deploys self-sustaining units capable of operating in austere environments.
Our Disaster Response Teams assist with debris removal, chainsaw operations, humanitarian aid distribution, wellness checks, and logistical support. Working alongside local and state emergency management, we help communities recover faster and stronger after the storm.
K9 Search Teams
Our K9 Units pair skilled handlers with highly trained working dogs to locate missing persons through scent detection, tracking, and cadaver recovery.
Specializations include Live-Find, Trailing, and Human Remains Detection (HRD). K9 Teams dramatically increase the probability of detection and are an indispensable part of Rescue 101 SAR’s search operations.
Swiftwater & Dive Rescue / Recovery
The Water Rescue Division responds to emergencies on rivers, lakes, and flooded areas.
Certified in surface water, swiftwater, and dive operations, these teams perform rescues, recoveries, and scene support with strict safety protocols. Working closely with local agencies, our divers and rescuers are trained to operate in low-visibility, high-risk environments where every second counts.
UAV Team (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)
Rescue 101 SAR’s UAV Team provides aerial reconnaissance, mapping, and search support using state-of-the-art drones equipped with optical zoom, thermal imaging, GPS-mapping, and AI image processing capabilities.
Our FAA Part 107-certified pilots assist in searches, damage assessments, disaster surveys, and scene documentation, delivering real-time intelligence to ground and command units.
Event Medical Services
Rescue 101 SAR offers on-site medical coverage for community events, races, and festivals.
Staffed by certified First Aid & EMS personnel and equipped with first-aid and trauma gear, our teams ensure public safety and rapid medical response when seconds matter. All proceeds from medical standbys directly support Rescue 101 SAR’s mission and volunteer training programs.
Evidence Search
Rescue 101 SAR supports law enforcement agencies with evidence search operations in both rural and urban settings.
Our trained teams utilize systematic search methods, scene preservation techniques, and precise documentation to locate and recover critical items related to criminal or missing-person investigations, maintaining chain-of-custody and professionalism at all times.
Public Education and Outreach Programs
We believe that the best rescue is the one that never has to happen.
Through Community Education & Outreach, Rescue 101 SAR provides public safety workshops, disaster-preparedness presentations, and our Youth Explorer Program.
By teaching prevention, situational awareness, and basic survival skills, we empower individuals and families to be ready and resilient when emergencies occur.
